Early childhood development and education (ECD) is a buzz word for good reason. We know that a child’s early education experiences shape his educational journey and success for life. Finding the right solution is not easy – large classes, institutionalized schools and pressurized programs do not serve toddlers well.
With great delight, Meg Faure (Baby Sense) and Lara Schoenfeld (founder of Nanny n Me) are bringing their ECD solution, Play Sense to Johannesburg.
“We launched Play Sense in Cape Town in 2016 and have 22 little home-based schools up and running already. Responding to demand in Gauteng, we are launching our first Play Sense schools in June,” says Meg.
Play Sense is different from all other programs – it’s a small home-based school for up to six 2-to-3 year olds. Our teachers are all fully qualified and trained further in the Play Sense program. The focus is on play, particularly imaginary play.
Instead of aiming to educate and focus on skills-based learning, Play Sense teachers are mandated to develop little one’s soft skills: creativity, collaboration and self-regulation being the most important.
You are invited to our launch party at BubHub on 5th May. Join Meg as she looks at ‘Play for the Future’.
